<p>When you first start out on your exercise routine you are fired up and enthusiastic. You follow the same workout routine every time, probably something like 3 sets of 10-12 reps per exercise, with a couple of minutes rest between sets.  You probably see some improvement to begin with, perhaps you reduce tummy fat a little, and then after a while the benefits become less noticeable and the routine can become boring.  It is at this point that many people give up.  But, if you can just make some changes to your training routine you can restore your enthusiasm and start making more improvements towards your goals, and really get a toned stomach. </p>
<p>There are many ways that you can strategically modify your training to assure that you maximize your fat loss response to exercise. Most people only think about changing their sets and reps performed, if they even think about changing their routine at all. But there are so many other aspects you can change to make effective workout routines.  Change the order of your exercise, change the exercises in your workout, make up some different circuits for different days.  Change the number of reps, the amount of resistance, the time under tension.  Vary the rest periods between sets, range of motion, repetition speed, and so on.</p>

<p>So do workout routines for beginners get boring?  You bet they do!  Can we make a basic workout routine instantly more enjoyable and more effective? Easily! Here are a few examples of different methods to spice up your routine.</p>
<p>Do a circuit of 12 exercises each targeting a different part of the body with no rest between exercises.<br />Next time do the same 12 in reverse order.<br />One week do three one hour sessions, the following week do six 30-minute workouts.<br />Do 10 sets of 3, with just 20 seconds rest between each set.<br />Do a workout based on only one full body exercise, such as dumbbell squat &amp; presses or barbell clean &amp; presses, and do just that exercise for an intense 20 minutes. <br />Use a fairly heavy weight and complete 6 sets of 6 reps, with a 3-minute treadmill sprint between each set of lifts. <br />Try a near maximum weight and do 10 sets of 1 rep, with only 30 seconds rest between sets. <br />Use a lighter than normal weight and do 1 set of 50 reps for each exercise <br />Build a workout based on all bodyweight exercises such as pushups, pull-ups, chin-ups, dips, bodyweight squats, lunges, up and down stairs, etc.</p>

As you alternately execute the steps continue for around 10 set. </p>
<p>Another routine is the circuit method which uses three different exercises or more in a set.  An example of this is by performing crunches, bicycle crunches, plank, and reverse crunch before you rest for a few seconds or more. After finishing the different exercise, you may repeat the steps for around 10 times.  </p>
<p>For the individual to gain more interest on the routine, you can introduce another exercise.  You can use a ball and create another three different strokes of ball exercise. This will encourage the individual to focus on the new sets of exercise which will later help develop great looking abs.</p>
<p>First exercise using a ball is the ball oblique crunches. To do this is to sit on the ball with your hips on the edge. Exhale and raised your shoulder to crunch up your abdomen. As you are on the peak of the crunch, move to the right side. Perform this for 10 to 15 times and then proceed to the left side as you continue again for another 10 to 15 times.</p>
<p>After the first ball exercise, proceed with reverse crunches using the ball. This should be done again for another 10 to 15 sets. The third exercise ball you can include on your ab workout routine is by transferring the ball from your feet to your hands. This should be executed properly with hands and legs stretched upward. See to it that you hold your legs high without reaching the ground. Transfer it to your hands and placed it over your head. Repeat the procedure again same set with the first and second ball exercise.  If you want you can add another set of ball exercise on the ab workout routine.  Perform the 4 exercises for around two to three times regularly to get a well-defined abs. Follow the routine by heart so that you will enjoy each exercises.</p>

<p><strong>Is A Crunch Free Workout Routine For Abs Effective?</strong></p>
<p>I bet you if you ever did another crunch it'll be too soon. You don't like getting down on your back because it bruises your spine and hurts your neck.  If it was only possible to stop doing crunches and get six pack abs, you certainly would.  It certainly would save a lot of time.  Well, truth be told, you'd be better off ditching the crunches because they aren't very effective in getting you that you want. You need to adopt a crunch free workout routine.</p>
<p>When it comes to ab development, there are plenty of more effective exercises that you can use in your crunch free workout routine.  If crunches weren't effective, you wouldn't have to do them day after day like you read in the muscle magazines.</p>
<p><span id="more-1501"></span></p>
<p>Just think about it.  You can stop lying down, hurting you spine, do those back and neck bruising exercises from the '80s and replace them with total body exercises for a crunch free workout routine for a more efficient, more effective routine for faster results.</p>
<p>Right now you are probably thinking, what's wrong with crunches?  Why would someone tell me or write about doing then if they were harmful?  The answer is two-fold.  First a lack of knowledge.  Second, a fitness industry that's marketing rip off gadgets claiming they will build you washboard abs.  The truth is that crunches are useless for getting six pack abs.  If fact, kinesiologists claim that when you are doing crunches, you are performing a motion that damages your lower back and spine.</p>
<p>When you perform a crunch, you subject your spine to flexion, a condition that compresses the disks in your spine.  Continue to do that and you will herniate your disks.  Have you cer heard of someone who bent over to pick something up and "threw" out their back.  Well, that's the same motion that you use when you do a crunch!</p>
<p>If you use the proper total body exercises in your crunch free workout routine, you won't need the gym, you'll burn more fat, you'll spend far less time than body builders do on their abs, and  yet you'll be able to get those flat, sexy abs that you've always wanted by working out at home.</p>
<p>By adopting a crunch free workout routine, boring, steady-state cardio will become a thing of the past.  You will only have to workout three times a week and that workout will only take about 45 minutes.  Doesn't it make sense to spend more time showing your abs than you do working on them?</p>
<p>Here are 2 exercises to use in your crunch free workout routine:</p>
<p>Cross-BodyMountainClimber<br />
Get into push up position.<br />
Lift your right foot off the floor and bring your right knee toward your left elbow. Return to the starting position, and repeat with the opposite leg, bringing your left knee to your right elbow. Repeat until specified time or number of repetitions are completed.</p>
<p><strong>Lateral Ski Jumps</strong><strong><br /></strong>1. Stand beside object to jump over. (I use paint cans in my garage)</p>
<p>2. Bring knees up and jump over the object sideways.</p>
<p>3. Land on both feet and immediately jump back over the object to the starting point.</p>
<p>4. Do not to pause between jumps. Only go as fast as you can perform the exercise safely.</p>
<p>Repeat until specified time or number of repetitions are completed.</p>
