Muscle building sports nutrition has become a specialized branch, which is based on scientific knowledge and practical feasibility. Attractive muscles are the biggest assets of every bodybuilder. However, having good muscles, remains only as a dream for many, in spite of their hard work. The absence of a well planned muscle building nutrition strategy will be the possible reason behind this disappointment of lack of proper muscles. Anyhow, sports nutrition has taken up it as a part of its interest, as sturdy muscles are the need of every sports person. Now, muscle building sports nutrition has formulated specific muscle building strategies.

Muscle building sports nutrition mainly focuses to satisfy the physiological requirements needed for the muscle building. Muscles are the contractile tissue in the body, which helps for the proper movement of the body parts. The functional importance of muscles but does not make sense about the development of the size of the muscles. The muscle building has to be based on its requirement since some games require sturdy muscles rather than thick muscles and vice versa. However, muscle building is an essential requisite of body building and sports nutrition has attributed special attention for muscle building of the professional body builders.

Muscle building requires professional guidelines from sports nutrition since just eating up cannot build good muscles. Muscle building is often compared to an art since it requires special attention, planning, creativity to balance the features and beauty towards the perfection. The intake of excess fat and carbohydrate can only increase the weight with tiers of hanging tissue and not tone muscles. Anatomically, muscles are made up of protein stands and increased amount of protein intake will eventually help for building up of muscles. But, it does not mean that fat and carbohydrates has to be abandoned from diet. A proportionate intake of the fat and carbohydrate is required, with more prominence for proteins. It is believed that the diet will stimulate the hormone production that controls the muscle development. Muscle building sports nutrition have formulated the most appropriate formulas for the muscle building, based on the principle, using trial and error method.

Muscle building sports nutrition specifies that eating patter is also important for muscle building. The reports say that taking up of food in frequent intervals is better for muscle building rather than 2 or 3 giant meals. And essentially the calories of intake must exceed the weight training too. It is estimated that 350 to 500 calories are required for building up 1 pound of muscle. As carbohydrates will help to burn calorie for the weight training and regulate the insulin in the body, the meal with a combination of 30 gram protein to 50 gm carbohydrate will be recommended for the weight training snacks.

Muscle building nutritious diet can be provided using natural substances as well as supplements. The carbohydrates can be provided in diet through including juices, vegetables and grains in the diet. It is said that 1 gram of protein is required for one pound of body mass. Whey protein, chicken, egg, good beef, nuts and beans can be used to include protein. Essential fatty acid such as omega 3 fatty acid and omega 6 fatty acids can be in taken using cold-water fish (salmon), fish oils, flax seed oil, olive oil, ground flax seeds of hempseed oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, and walnuts. To add on, water is very important in muscle building sports nutrition, as in every diet.

Muscle building sports nutrition also suggests many supplements available in the market. It mainly includes amino acids, metal replacement products, thermogenic substances, and prohormones. Certain sports nutrition strategy utilizes the growth hormone and other steroid hormones for muscle building. However, it may lead to serious future consequences.

Muscle building sports nutrition includes scientific approach regarding the nutrition for a muscle inducing diet. It must include all the essential nutrients, but must give importance for proteins. However, no program can assure the muscle building since its growth is not linear, and depends upon the physiological specialties of the person.

Muscle Building Secrets is a program developed by Jason Ferriggia who has 20 years experience as a body builder and physical trainer. Muscle Building secrets is unique in that it does not only just tell you the best way to build muscle, it also educates you in how to maximize muscle growth.

Jason's Muscle Building Secrets is a culmination of personal learning and achievement that has seen Jason become a well known and respected body builder and physical trainer in America. The Muscle Building Secrets program has been featured in such magazines as Maximum Fitness, Men's Health and Jason even has his own column in Men's Fitness.

Jason grew up as one of the skinny kids on the block and was often picked on and bullied. Even though as he got older he tried to build muscle he had no success. Rather than give up he took himself of to the library and read 100's of book's and articles on anything to do with muscle growth and development. He had his light bulb moment whilst reading something in the library that made everything slot into place.

He then applied what he had learned into his workouts and began to see noticeable muscle growth. Jason told friends about what he was doing and they followed the same procedure and they all made significant increases in muscle gain. Using his vast experience and knowledge Jason has created his Secret program.

What you get when you down load the program is not only the 196 page book Muscle Building Secrets, you also get ......

• Maximum Mass in Minimum Time guide
• Building Muscle meal plans
• Exercise Database, which contains 100's of exercises for every muscle group
• Composition Tracker, this track your body fat and lean muscle mass
• Muscle Building Audio Course
• Lifetime subscription to the private membership site
• Lifetime up dates for the Muscle Building Secrets Book

The Muscle Building Secrets course is over delivered and the amount of information contained is exceptional. What I like about this course is that it covers from complete beginner to advanced muscle builder.

You get 8 weeks to try this course with its 100% money back guarantee. The only negative thing I can find to say about the course is that the pictures in the Muscle Building Secrets book do look slightly amateurish and cheap. In answer to that though, I would much rather have quality content over professionally done photographs.

Does the course deliver results?
I actually work in the fitness industry at the moment and I know of several people who are following this program. They all claim that they have noticed considerable muscle increase in the 7 - 12 weeks they have been following the program.

This program is exactly that, a program and not just a guide on building muscle. It teaches you the best ways to maximize your muscle growth, and contains lots of knowledge on nutrition and eating plans. By following this program you do not have to spend lots of money on muscle supplements and drinks.

If you want to build muscle mass then this is the program to follow. As it is a down loadable program you can get started on this straight away. This program does work and well worth the money.

A great physique begins with diet and exercise. Building muscle mass requires dedication and determination. Below are muscle building tips which will help you build strong, lean muscles.

1. Exercise: This is the very first step towards building a muscle mass. Without exercise, our bodies tend to adapt to whichever conditions exist. When you start weight training, your body will sense a requirement of increasing muscle in order to lift the weights. Gradually, you will see your muscles get stronger and you become stronger.

2. Supplements: This is optional, but in saying this, muscle building supplements sometimes become an requirement when your diet is lacking in sufficient nutrients. The basic supplements should include whey protein, glutamine, and creatine. You really don't need anything else. All of the other various, hyped advertisements on the topic of supplements are just marketing tricks to get you to buy them. You don't need them. Just be careful what supplements you select to use.

3. Rest: Now, if you have started working out, you are not required to workout 7 days a week. Your body requires time to recover and it is during this time that your body gets stronger and your body gains muscle. So, take a day off in between your workouts.

4. Sleep: It is during your sleep that your body starts to repair itself. It is only when you sleep that your muscles recover and grow. If you workout hard and don't get the sleep and rest your body needs, you won't see the kind of results you are looking for.

5. Diet: I saved this for last because I wanted to include a mucle building diet plan that you can implement. Your body will require more fuel and clean fuel for your workouts. The fuel I am referring to is muscle building foods. Clean foods refers to healty foods. Junk foods will have to be drastially decreased as you are trying to build muscle. There are various healthy foods which are known to help you build muscle: oatmeal, tuna, peanut butter, banana, eggs, milk, beef, chicken, cottage cheese whey protein, and more. Below are muscle building nutrition foods for those who want quick and long lasting results.

Chicken - Lean, white meat chicken breasts are great muscle building foods. They are low in fat and calories, yet high in protein.

Broccoli - contains a compound that works against estrogen in the body. This is important because estrogen makes the body more efficient at storing fat. So, broccoli means less fat and more muscle.

Turkey - to successfully build muscle, you need foods high in protein and low in fat and carbohydrates. No food is better than white meat turkey.

Lean red meat - read meat is higher in fat, so you should not eat this every day. However, it is a great source of protein and offers added benefit of having iron. Eat it two to three times a week.

Tuna - is low in calories, carbohydrates and high in protein. Great for losing weight and building muscle. In addition, it has Omega 3 fatty acids, which help your body use calories more efficiently and increase the metabolism. It is also a compound that prevents muscle loss and great for the heart.

Whey Protein - whey protein shakes are great muscle building foods because whey protein is absorbed quickly by your body. Taking this within 2 hours of a workout helps your body recover quickly, which helps build muscle quickly.

Casein and Egg Protein Shakes - usually called night-time proteins because they digest slowly and slow digestion allows your muscles to get a steady supply of protein while you sleep.

Complex Carbohydrates - to increase your protein, you can't build muscle without carbohydrates. Choose whole grains and vegetables for your daily carbohydrates.

Fat Free Cottage Cheese - Before protein shakes were invented, bodybuilders ate fat free cottage cheese. It incorporates the compound casein; a favorite bodybuilder protein.

Healthy Fats - Our bodies require fats. In fact, your body can't produce testosterone, a major muscle building hormone, without fat. Choose fats that are natural and healthy; such as, olive oil for cooking along with nuts and avacado.

Muscle building is not about losing weight so you may have to go against your tendency to eat less food and get used to eating more food, but muscle building foods, which are healtheir for you. Try to eat 6-8 smaller meals every day. Follow these tips and you shall achieve the body you desire.

If you are serious about gaining muscle and building your size and strength you should pay close attention and follow these 9 muscle building facts

1. Genetics do play a significant role in muscle building

Those that have parents with small frames will also carry the same characteristics. This doesn't mean you have no chance of building a strong muscular body. If this applies to you it does not mean you will not succeed in gaining muscle however it means you are going to have to work much harder then those who have people with genetically larger bodies.

2. Metabolism

Another of the top muscle building facts is that metabolism has an impact on your size. People who find it hard to gain muscle are more than likely to have a faster metabolism. If this is the case for you, your body is basically burning calories at a quicker rate then it takes them in.

3.Eating More and Properly

Eating three times a day will not cut it if you want the best results. You need to eat more often and eat more protein. Your body will require food much more often especially those loaded with protein because your are breaking down your muscles. Your muscle are now starving for protein. You should eat a meal every two and a half hours totaling to six meals a day. Also spread your meals out throughout the day. Protein supplements are also recommended.

4. Non-Stop Training Is Counter Productive

This is one of the muscle building facts that is most commonly overlooked by beginners. The purpose of weight training is to stimulate muscle growth. Weight training is designed for increasing muscle strength and size but in order to do so your muscle need to repair themselves. Resting is a very important aspect of body building. You need to rest your muscles on certain days of the week and work on other body parts that are already rested. You also need to rest sufficiently between sets.

5. Exercises in isolation will not increase your size at a rapid rate

If you want to increase your size at the fastest rate, you need to do multi-muscle exercises. These are exercises that require more than one muscle or muscle group to get the job done. These types of exercises involve using multiple muscle groups together in one exercise. These also puts a significant amount of stress on your muscles and you body will respond by producing muscle building hormones

6. Free Weight Training Is King

Free weights make you body exert more energy then machines or pressure systems. You need more focus because of balancing and maintaining this balance while lifting contributes greatly to muscle growth. Cables and pressure systems are good for practicing form and warm up exercises but they are not as effective as free weights.

7. Get Your Weight Up

Using the same pounds of weight with no increase will not increase your size. To build muscle you need to go heavy. You must increase your the weight you lift in order to challenge your muscles so they grow stronger. Heavy lifting triggers IIB type muscle fibers and they produce the most muscle growth. Generally, heavy lifting is when you are only able to lift the weight a maximum of four to eight times in a row.

8. Keep Your Workout Sessions Short

This is one of the muscle building facts that many beginners disregard because they think the longer the session the better results. Muscle building is the stimulation of muscle not a long constant muscle breakdown. This is only a concern for developed body builders looking to tone muscle. Long training sessions increase catabolic hormones which leads to loss of muscle. You would do this only if you want to tone your already built muscles. An hour to 75 minutes should be the maximum workout session.

9. Following a muscle building routine is one of the most important of all muscle building facts

Many people will try make it up as they go or copy people they see in a gym. Without learning the proper way to build muscle from a guide, you may end up doing the wrong exercises with bad technique or neglect to diet properly. This may severely handicap your efforts and have a negative impact on your results. You will always find general exercises that will help you build muscle, but there is much more to building your body than just lifting weights. Following a muscle building program is vital to your success. I hope you found these muscle building facts useful.

Muscle building can be very intimidating especially when your just beginning. You may not know what exercises to do, what supplements to get or how what foods to eat. The best thing you can do to ensure you are on the right track to achieving achieving your muscle building goals is to get a muscle building guide that will teach you all the aspects of building muscle. Here is what I have for you.
It is vital to your success that you have muscle building plan. It is no good just rushing in and starting training with no real plan in place. You cannot succeed like this and all your hard work will go to waste.

Muscle building strategy #1: prepare for your training by setting some goals: setting goals is important for your success. This will give you a road map to guide you to success. It is wise to have milestones for these goals. This will make your task easier as you will be able to achieve your objectives in small chunks instead of being presented with a large amount to achieve.

Muscle building strategy #2: develop an exercise plan to achieve them: it is important to size up what you need and remember that everyone is an individual. What is right for one person may not be right for you. If necessary take advice from a professional trainer to get yourself on the right track.

Muscle building strategy #3: decide on a diet plan: diet is very important and goes hand in hand with exercises. You will not be successful if you just diet or if you only exercise. This is a complete package. Try to change your diet so that you cut out junk food and eat healthy whole grain foods. Try to eat more vegetables and protein. It is good to take a protein supplement and also to have a cretin supplement to help with growth and repair.

Muscle building strategy #4: do not give up; keep up your exercise and diet régimes no matter what your circumstances. Only by sticking with your diet and exercises can you hope to achieve your goals. Even when you have been able to reach your optimum physique, keep on with diet and exercise to maintain your look. If you do not do this you will find that muscle turns to fat and all your hard work will be wasted.

Keep these 4 muscle building strategies in mind and you will look better and feel better than you have done for years. There is nothing like a achieving a fine physique and having something to show for all your hard work.

There are a number of steps involved in a successful muscle building program. To be successful all must be given equal amounts of attention. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link right? The difficult aspect of this is that one variable in muscle building is addition by subtraction. That’s a hard concept for most serious lifters to get their mind around.

I am talking about the overlooked key to muscle building, rest and not over training. If you’re serious enough about lifting to do it regularly in the first place, then you don’t have to be told to hit the gym, lift hard, eat right and get rest. You already know these things, and you try and do them as best as possible. But here’s where most people make the big mistake.

Does it not make sense that, if you are doing everything “right”, that every chest work out you have, you lift exactly the same as before OR MORE? That is the point of muscle building, right, to get stronger and bigger. Does that happen? Probably not. Most people write it off to having an off day, or “being tired”. Well duh. Then it’s obvious that you didn’t allow yourself enough recovery time or you haven’t gotten the proper amount or quality of rest. People justify this lack of progress in each workout as “doing something is better than doing nothing”. WRONG.

The entire concept of muscle building is to build the muscle. Not wear it out. Sessions in the gym that do not make your muscles bigger and stronger are making them weaker and smaller! That’s over training! A perfect illustration of this is boxers. After they have trained and peaked for a fight they take an extended period of time off. One fight doesn’t make them that tired. It’s a matter of not over training their bodies.

If you use being tired, whether it’s from a day at work or a lousy night’s sleep, as a reason for not being able to match previous workouts, then again, you miss the point of muscle building. It requires a maximum effort to exhaust the muscle, so that it can recover and grow. Without the ability to exhaust the muscle because of a lack of energy means no growth. Why again are you in the gym?

So ask yourself going in how do I really feel? Don’t fall victim to the age old trap of mediocrity, “movement equals progress”. It doesn’t. Only movement in the correct direction does.

It has been said that exercise and diet go together, and if the two don't complement each other, the muscle building regimen won't work as well as it's supposed to. In this article, we will discuss the diets and the types of food that fits in best with a good muscle building regimen.

Many people make the mistake of eating less when undergoing rigorous muscle building regimens. Think about it: You're trying to gain muscle. If you skimp on food, you will miss out on important nutrients necessary for muscle growth. The best muscle building diets involve as many as six small meals a day, since this setup burns more of the bad stuff away while keeping more of the good stuff in.

Regarding caloric ratio, a well-balanced muscle building diet involves a 40-40-20 ratio (40% of your daily caloric intake from carbohydrates, 40% from protein, and 20% from fat). Individuals more interested in fat burn than muscle growth may opt for a 50-30-20 ratio instead. Whichever the ratio, it's a rule to remember that what you eat is just as important as how much.

Carbohydrates are your main source of energy, and they are burned much more easily and efficiently than calories from fat. Good sources of carbohydrates include rice, pasta, whole wheat bread, and grains.

Protein builds muscle, and a diet with healthy servings of lean meat, poultry (without the skin), fish, non-fat milk, eggs, and nuts allows you to maximize muscle growth from your workouts. As a rule, bodybuilders must take in one gram of protein for every pound of body weight per day.

A fun way of reaching your recommended protein intake is to substitute the occasional bag of chips or cookies with nuts, such as peanuts and cashews. These are great at-work snacks, and they maintain energy levels better than junk food.

Fat is a great source of reserve energy, and helps keep the body warm and body weight steady. It is important to remember that there are good and bad types of fat. Avoid trans fats and other saturated fats, and take in more of the 'good' fats through avocados (guacamole), tuna oil, olive oil, and other vegetable oils. Stay away from coconut oil, though.

Other important parts of your diet include water, fruit, vegetables, and multivitamin supplements. It is important to replenish your body's supply of water every 2 hours, especially when working out. 8-10 glasses should be enough to keep yourself hydrated each day. Multivitamins help keep sickness at bay, fight stress, and make the body expend energy and absorb nutrients more efficiently.

Your dietitian and gym instructor can give you tips on good muscle building diets. Don't be shy to ask questions you might be pleasantly surprised at what you hear.

The body needs nutrition just like anyone else's. However, it is key to get the right kind of nutrition for it, the proper muscle building nutrition.

As you go on about your exercising, it will mean virtually nothing if you're not maintaining your body in the correct way. By eating the right things, and having good nutritional choices, you're making the best use of this time exercising.

The types of foods you eat, and what they contain in them is very important to your muscle building. Any food you eat will contain carbohydrates, fat, and protein.

Muscle will make you heavier, but fat is not something you should desire.

Try to eat less fatty foods, about 20% total. The more protein you consume, the better your workouts will go.

The general standard is 20-40-40.

This means that you should consume about 20 percent of fat, and 40 percent of carbohydrates and protein to ensure that you are maintaining your nutritional standards.

Carbohydrates come from food that is very good for you, including vegetables, oatmeal, and potatoes. This should not be confused with the carbohydrates you can get from sugary treats or unhealthy, fattening foods and desserts.

When it comes to which fatty foods to avoid, you should have no problem steering clear. If it is not something you think you should eat, then you probably should not be eating it. Loading up on your protein and health foods should give you a good idea of what not to eat.

Muscle building nutrition does not solely involve the foods that you eat. How you eat those foods is also very important.

Consume regular meals per day, up to four on average. This means that instead of eating bits of foods all day, or even large quantities of foods all day, you should be keeping a balanced nutrition.

There is a way to accomplish your physical goals, as well as decreasing your fat, and that is by staying on top of what you eat.

By staying healthy and eating regularly, you can keep up your muscle building nutrition in an excellent way. Always eat breakfast, and make sure to consume healthy fruits and vegetables with each meal that you consume.

Remember not to cut fat out of your diet, just avoid any unhealthy fats such as foods containing vegetable oils or corn oils.

Drink lots of water, not drinks with caffeine.

Caffeinated drinks not only contain sugars that are bad for you, but they also contain a lot of calories which will make you time at the gym feel pointless.

Keeping water by you to hydrate with, or of course, the healthy green tea, is always a great idea. Finally, unprocessed foods are more nutritional than processed foods.

Unprocessed foods include meats, vegetables, and fruits, whereas processed foods include things such as canned meat, frozen dinners, or pizza.

Building your body muscle, while maintaining your nutritional, balanced, diet is a very important thing. It is necessary to always eat right while trying to build an attractive physique.

No matter how much time you spend at your gym, the fuel you put into your tank is always going to be the key to what makes you run right.

As with everything you might imagine, there are of course programs for helping you to build more body muscle.

Muscle building programs can be found anywhere, such as on the web, in a gym, or in any other of the appropriate locations, aspiring to the physique of the body.

Applying specific techniques to your daily work out routine can be considered a program, and will also reward you with its after effects.

Programs to help people lose their body fat and gain more body muscle will also reward those in need with more energy, more strength, and a higher desire to take care of their body from then on.

On top of more muscle and less fat, they gain the confidence to succeed in anything else they want to accomplish, by just sticking to their daily routines and programs.

It takes hard dedication to get where you want, and a hard work out program can be just the thing that helps you to break the barrier between fat and muscle.

Many muscle and body builders think of their programs as a sort of religion. They will not stray from it, and they will not let themselves down. This is key to proving to yourself that you can do it.

It is important to remember that warming up is sometimes the most crucial part of your work out session.

Without a brief session prior to the actual session, you could put yourself in danger by pulling a muscle or even breaking a bone by exerting too much strength and causing harm to yourself.

Be very careful not to push yourself more than you can handle, or the after effects may be painful.

An example of a muscle building program is a weekly or monthly routine that will focus on one part of your body, to over all begin building your entire body.

On Monday of your first week, you can solely work on your upper body. Push ups, chest presses, and weight lifting are all things that will help your upper body to gain a better build.

Weight lifting is the most common form of an upper body work out and strategy used to enhance a person's strength as well as performance.

It is important not to over work yourself, so working out every day of the week might be hazardous to your health.

Another day of the week, perhaps Wednesday, you could devote to working on your legs. You can work out your legs by following routines such as squats, or by doing lunges.

For the first week you could rotate by just working out your upper body and your legs, and taking days for rest.

In addition, you'll need nutrition to succeed as well.

By following routines such as this repeatedly, your body will get in the mood to keep going, and make it easier for you to try newer things, and push yourself harder.

Muscle building programs such as this will help you to maintain or gain your new physique, making you not only feel better about yourself, but live a healthier life as well.

Your body will get used to the repetitive routines your programs are enforcing and make it easier for you to continue doing them.

Especially in America, where obesity is prominent, it becomes more and more important to feel confident about the way you look.

No longer will you be embarrassed of the way you look, or afraid to try on your swimming suit or take a dip in a public pool.

However, to begin yourself with a program, you must be willing to bear through all the work out sessions, no matter how painfully excruciating they may make you feel at first; your body will need to get used to it to succeed.

After going through enough muscle building programs, through a process of trial and error, you will eventually find one that will work best for you, and end up with a phenomenal body physique.

There are several different ways to get your body fat level into shape, and to increase your physical appearance which has proven to be so important to people all over the world.

Getting into shape has turned into a key priority every where, all around, and many people need help doing so to feel better about themselves, gain strength, and over come their general obstacles.

No longer will it be troublesome to take a quick jog, or to rush up a flight of stairs, not with all the different kinds of muscle building exercises to be found in any gym, in body building books or magazines, or even online.

While the computer may be one of the leading causes today of why more and more people have become obese, or out of shape, it certainly can deal with many different aspects of getting into shape.

Now it has become easier to feel like you're working out, while you may not be at all.

An important thing to think about is how you got in the situation you are in. If your downfall was the computer, it's best to get out and look for muscle building exercise, rather than looking them online.

Or you can use things such as this to your advantage.

For example, if your downfall was the television, buy a work out video and practice at home.

There are several different types of routines and exercises to help you promote muscle building. Muscle building exercises will come in all shapes and forms, focusing on weightlifting or focusing on your legs, and so on.

Choosing the right one for you is very important and should be thought about with a great deal of hesitance.

If you feel as though you cannot complete a commitment to your goal, keep that in mind when you're choosing your exercises.

Gyms are a great place to find exercises that will help you with not only your health, but with gaining that perfect body you've always dreamed of.

If weightlifting is a part of your routine, it would be wise to seek help from a gym or another trained professional, because weightlifting must be carried out in a specific fashion, and you may need help from other parties to complete it.

Compounds movements are extremely effective, and maybe even the highest rated for helping your body muscles work them out.

Compound movements such as this call for your body to use several muscles in sync with each other, such as bench pressing.

Bench pressing will mainly work out one place of your body, but is realistic working out your shoulders and your triceps as well.

Some work out routines requires that you do several compound movement exercises for optimal performance and muscle gain.

An exercise such as the bicep curl is commonly referred to as an isolation exercise. While these isolation exercises may be easier for someone to perform and more common to do, they aren't helping your body out as much as a compound movement exercise.

Following strict routines and exercises will make sure that your body is getting the work out sessions it needs to thrive.

Muscle building exercises are extremely common, as it is easier to work out with a rhythm than it is to work out randomly.

On top of this, your muscle gain will shoot through the roof!

The excitement of muscle building is understandable but you definitely need to realize injuries can occur.

Doing all you can to prevent them is essential because you don't want to have to stop working out because of them.

Being well informed about the overall process for muscle building is a great place to start learning how you can prevent those injuries from occurring.

While you should be pushing yourself to lift more and to do more reps, know when enough is enough.

You certainly don't want to overdo it because that can prevent you from being able to work out for several days while you recover.

Don't try to keep up with anyone else because each person has a different capacity for muscle building strategies.

Make sure you always have a spotter around when you are exercising.

Even if you have done certain exercises many times there is still a risk involved. When you try out new exercises make sure you do them properly.

Many injuries occur when a person thinks they are doing it right but they really aren't. Don't assume you know the right to complete something, make sure that you do.

If you aren't sure then ask for someone to show you or watch some type of video before you try it.

Take the time to stretch your muscles before and after each work out session. This will help you to stay flexible and to get the muscles warmed up.

Statistics show those individuals that don't routinely do this end up with more injuries than those that do so.

It may only be pulled, sore, or inflamed muscles but those all can be painful. At the same time they can slow down your growth from muscle building efforts.

It is important to stay hydrated because you will likely sweat a great deal when you engage in muscle building exercises.

Consuming plenty of water all day long is important. You also want to consume it immediately after you finish your work out.

Some people think that sports drinks can take the place of water but they really don't so don't rely solely upon them for hydration.

Pay attention to the signs your body gives you that something isn't right. If you don't you can end up with an injury. You may have a slight inflammation or pulled muscle that you can feel when you are lifting.

When that occurs take it easy for a few days in that particular muscle region.

If you continue with your routine though and ignore those early warning signs you will regret it later.

Even when you do pay attention to such tips to prevent injuries they may occur from time to time.

Seek medical attention if necessary to determine the extent of the damage has taken place.

Sometimes that damage may be internal so don't just assume you are fine since you don't have any physical signs.

You also need to let your body completely heal from such injuries before your efforts for muscle building resume.

How does one build chest muscles? Building chest muscle is one of the primary concerns of those who are interested in competing in amateur or professional bodybuilding competitions. The reason for this is the chest constitutes one of the main muscle groups that need to be improved aesthetically; and so aside from strength training, isolating this particular muscle area is a must for those who want to sculpt.

Strength training may also be employed, aside from specific weight training regimens. What are taken into consideration with strength training? One must be familiar with the terminology, too. Form is the specific type of exercise that is put into practice to introduce resistance to the skeletal muscles. Regimens employ different forms; combinations of forms are determined by the objectives of the body builder. Rep, also known as repetition, is the number of cycles of a particular form of training, while a set is a particular number of cycles in a particular combination of forms. The other important component of training regimen is tempo: the speed at which an exercise is performed has different consequences for the body and specific muscle groups.

According to a common trend in body building, if one wants to build chest muscle, then a specific training for that muscle area with sets that range from five or six to around twelve or thirteen repetitions per specific set are adequate. Such a routine would be able to increase the muscle size and would also build endurance in the body. The studies suggest that the number of repetitions may vary between eight and fifteen. The sets per particular training session should range from four to eight sets of eight to fifteen repetitions.

Now, how about the period of relaxation between sets? It has generally been accepted that there are no particular figures that could encompass every kind of metabolism and body type. Though, figures reveal that the time period between repetitions and sets of chest-sculpting exercise may vary between two to five minutes. These figures are included on the basis of results provided by them.

For the duration between the sets, varies from exercise to exercise meant for specific parts which includes: five to ten seconds to build strength, four to eight seconds to build power, twenty to sixty seconds for hypertrophy or muscle building, eighty to one hundred fifty seconds to increase the endurance of the body builder. Now, one may try all types of duration, so that there would be balance.

Now, if you are already trying out the suggest durations, then one should also know that there is such a thing as "progressive overload". It works this way: muscles were made to support the skeletal system; but they may be trained to lift and resist increasingly heavy forces, in the form of weights or other types of resistance-inducing equipment. Progressive overload should be tried only with the help of trained professionals, or with fellow bodybuilders that have already passed through the initial phases of progressive overload.

              Muscle Gaining Secrets

Do you know that the #1 most important principle of fast muscle gain is overlooked in 99% of all programs? Muscle Gaining Secrets tells us we really shouldn't even think of picking up a weight until knowing what this is. There are actually 7 critical muscle building factors that we all need to know to building that body we dream of.

There is a killer combination that absolutely must be a part of every workout if you ever hope to build shocking amounts of muscle. But this is almost always missing in the body building routines you've seen before, and are probably using today.

There are also 10 things you must do to recover quicker in between workouts if you want to build the size and strength you desire. Let me go on to say that one thing you are doing right now in your routine must be stopped immediately, because it has been proven to weaken your immune system, destroy your joints, eat muscle tissue and increase body-fat storage.

And let me also tell you that "less is more". You can get better results losing body fat from ten minutes of cardio a day, than you can from the types of cardio you are presently doing. In fact they are completely useless and utterly destructive to your physique goals.

Did you know there is a little known technique that has been shown in studies to increase muscle growth by as much as 269% ? And this has nothing to do with lifting weights or nutrition. Have I peaked your interest? Are you ready to hear the truth about how you can truly build that body of muscle mass you deserve?

Get all the information, all the answers you need from the “Muscle Gaining Secrets” master manual. This is your guide to getting big and ripped, written in a straight forward, easy to understand fromat.

There are no overly complicated scientific formulas or insider jargon that will require you to first get a degree in advanced physiology to understand it. Just a no nonsense, no filler, no fluff; hard hitting, scientific truth about how to pack on colossal amounts of muscle at warp speed. And your success will come without the use of unhealthy steroids.

Nothing is left to guesswork or chance, and no one is left out. It’s all laid out for you in full detail with exercise descriptions and exact sets, reps and rest periods. And there are 3 different muscle building workout programs. One for the raw beginner, the intermediate or advanced lifter; there’s a program designed just for you.

Whenever the term "natural bodybuilding" is mentioned, those who participate in such a hobby think of grueling weight lifting workout sessions and disciplined bodybuilding diet routines, but one additional variable, supplementation, is deemed a requirement for any individual to succeed in building muscle mass to his or her natural bodybuilding potential. Since steroids are off limits due to their dangers, bodybuilding supplements become the "safe" and legal steroid alternative that bodybuilders feel compelled to pursue.

Because so few who experiment with bodybuilding supplements have performed their weight training routines without using such products, they are unable to analyze the true effectiveness of the bodybuilding supplements they consume, and therefore, mistakenly attribute any muscle gain or fat loss to these products, even when making changes to a weight training or diet routine that, in fact, is the foundation for any successful muscle building or fat loss venture. Instead of conducting legitimate experiments to note muscle growth or fat loss with specific bodybuilding supplements using the exact same weight training and diet routine, many tend to become frustrated with their muscle gain or fat loss progress, and once they return from a vacation with newfound weight lifting enthusiasm, they not only seek out a new workout routine and diet, but also purchase several bodybuilding supplements to use simultaneously, and if they begin to grow or lose fat, they do not credit the weight lifting plan or diet, nor do they consider the muscle gain following a layoff, but rather credit the bodybuilding supplements for any positive change, even if this progress begins to fade.

This skewed analysis leads bodybuilders around the world to believe that bodybuilding supplements are a prerequisite for results, and the powerful advertising found in popular bodybuilding magazines, most of whom generate the majority of their advertising profits from bodybuilding supplement manufacturers, also convinces the readers that they must, without question, rely on bodybuilding supplements as the secret weapon to maximum muscle building, especially when they see a professional bodybuilder holding the latest bottled craze in his hand, claiming he uses the product regularly (of course, he fails to mention that his results are due to steroid abuse as opposed to supplement use!). Nevertheless, the overwhelming message sent by the bodybuilding industry that such products are the natural key to success fuels many to accept this as truth, and the bodybuilding supplement industry thrives as a result.

But what's the truth behind the bodybuilding supplement craze? I have been involved in weight lifting for many years, and through my own experimentation, along with emails received from those who are disappointed with their own bodybuilding supplement tests, and have therefore devised a motto that I hope all reading this article decide is logical enough to consider adopting for their own muscle building or fat loss pursuits. Most bodybuilding supplements do not offer advertised results, and you will spend thousands (or may already have) proving this to be true, but even if you were to find one that allowed you to build muscle mass or burn fat faster than is possible through a properly designed weight training workout plan and bodybuilding diet, you will then no doubt risk long term health, therefore bodybuilding supplements are best avoided. The only method of knowing for certain whether an artificially induced product will cause long term harm to health is with an extended (several decade) study as to its impact, and because no such research will ever exist on any bodybuilding supplement, you can be sure that they are labeled "safe" only because no immediate health abnormalities are noted, but as we know with smoking, legality does not ensure safety, and in the long term, there are serious concerns that bodybuilding supplements, even the many that do not offer any noticeable muscle building or fat loss results, can lead to cancer, organ failure (due to added stress on the kidneys, liver, etc), and premature death.

For those bodybuilders who wish to maximize muscle gains and fat loss, yet value the term "natural" due to its connotation of health preservation and clear rejection of any potentially risky external aids towards such progress, bodybuilding supplements that claim to build muscle or burn fat faster than is possible through weight training and diet alone are clearly not an option. You can either heed my warning, or waste thousands as so many do each year searching for the ultimate steroid placement that offers no side effects, when this, in fact, is an oxymoronic statement that has no realistic way of being fulfilled.

Francesco Castano authors the www.MuscleNOW.com web site, which is a workout routine for muscle building without supplements or drugs. He also authors the www.FatVanish.com site, a natural fat loss program.
Article Source

Guys go for sexy ladies, while girls go for guys with rounded muscles. It is such a big deal for people nowadays to have a well fit body; whether it is due to the fact that their profession calls for it, or just for the sake of fitting in.

Building muscle, or let me say - working out, has been a routine for those people aiming to have a sexy body. They would exert extra effort just to reap the praise afterwards. It may be rewarding at first but if not properly maintained, results may not always be pleasant.

Muscle, per se, consists of muscle fibers bundled to form a muscle group. This muscle groups, which we are more familiar with if referred to as - biceps or triceps, is then essential for muscle to gain strength. This synergism of muscles would then make way for leverage or movement of the body. This progress would then allow building muscles which most people aim for to have an athletic body.

People do not always gain the results they want. Some do this for personal reasons, while others has to deal with it because of health reasons. Since not all muscle build up is voluntary, some gain the development of their muscle due to abnormalities brought about by their body.

There are three kinds of cellular changes that affect building muscles: Atrophy, hypertrophy, and dystrophy.

Atrophy is the wasting of a cell which occurs when a person has a poor nourishment, hormonal failure, lack of exercise or has a disease inherent to tissues. Muscle atrophy takes place when physique tends to shrink due to prolonged idleness, which may be caused by a cast in the body part or paralysis in comatose patients. Usually, this kind of atrophy can be undone with exercise.

Lack of protein can cause severe muscle wasting, also known as Cachexia. This rigorous atrophy is provoked by diseases such as cancer, congestive heart failure, liver diseases or AIDS. In these conditions, simple workout can be done such as range of motion exercises, to minimize the severity of muscle atrophy.

The second type of cellular changes is the hypertrophy. Hypertrophy is the enlargement of an organ or an area of a tissue. This alters the size of the muscle tissues but it does not affect the number of cells which is not critical to ones body. Normally, when we workout, this kind of change happens in our muscles.

Dystrophy is the third kind. It is an enlargement of a cell due to abnormalities. Most common of these conditions are cancer concerning muscle tissues. Cellular changes of this sort are treated medically.

Building muscles have different effects to ones body depending on how the person acquired the growth. It may be attained to impress people; it may be aspired for health benefits. Some do obtain the development from a disease.

There are always things easier said than done. Whenever we see celebrities having a perfectly toned body, one can't help but fantasize having that kind of physique. Usually, we try to work on it for quite sometime. In the long run, if we don't see the results we want, we just end up admiring the body we originally fancy.

It may be depressing to admit but there are several reasons why most people fail in their muscle building workouts.

Sometimes, people get excited on achieving their desired weight that they tend to diet. Diet in the sense that, they cut down on foods that is essential for muscle build up. In reality, improper diet ruins your chances of having a muscular body. Most people are not eating enough protein, essential for the development of the muscle; instead they eat too many simple carbohydrates.

Another reason for failure in this muscle building workouts is that they are not stressing their muscles enough during exercises. It is not recommended to do vigorous training but at least exert extra effort on the particular muscle you want to develop. Stressing the muscles while working out, allows for it to grow out of the ordinary; thus, achieving the desired shape.

Also, when one is just starting out, people tend to lack consistency. They do not stay focused throughout the entire program. Like I said earlier, once desired results are not seen easily, they get discouraged and quit. It is important to stick with your goal. No results could ever be met if consistency to plan is not achieved.

In getting results, one must be willing to do whatever it takes, however hard it may be. The body responds depending on how you train it; on how consistent you are. It is addicting, but it is a way for you to reach your goal.

It is recommended to concentrate on free weight exercises. This will be beneficial for large muscle groups. The best muscle building workout for building mass are the simple ones. Stick with compound free weight exercises like squats, dead-lifts, bench presses, barbell rows, pull ups, and bar dips. You can also use heavy weights. Be sure to rest 3 minutes between each set, having to do low repetitions.

For people with high metabolism, it is recommended to train with more intensity, but less frequently. Split your workout. Like for a week workout, it is better if you do the training for three times during weekdays and the rest for the entire weekends. Try to limit two to three exercises per body each workout. This allows the body to stress the specific area you need to build better.

It is important to increase water intake during your muscle building workout. To determine the required number of ounces per day, multiply your bodyweight by .66. This would allocate correct consistency of energy to your body while working out.

Nutritional supplements are suggested to those people who are too busy to eat six meals per day. You don't have to indulge in too many products at the same time, to achieve the results you want, just stick with the basics -- like whey protein.

As I've mentioned, it is important for this muscle building workouts to be consistent. Otherwise, any effort put into it will be put to waste.

           STOP!

Breaking News at Turbulence Training

It is a known fact that muscle is much more attractive than fat. Muscle building and fat loss go hand in hand. Muscle building helps in improving your actual physique along with overall health. There are many health benefits to muscle building. The mass of muscle is approximately half as big as the mass of fat deposits.

Don't be surprised if you are exercising in order to lose weight but actually end up gaining weight. It is not a shocking or bad thing really and there is no reason to be sad about it. Such weight gain means you are building muscle mass and you will look much better than you were before. You will look slimmer around your waist. Muscle building includes burning calories very rapidly. Muscles tend to use energy, but fat just stores it. So when you have more muscles, you will tend to burn more energy and maintain a healthy body weight more easily.

In order to gain maximum benefits, it is not essential to build a lot of muscle mass. According to study, building five pounds of muscle mass will make you healthier and provide ability to fight off disease. Just thirty minutes thrice a week is enough to reach your goal.

The most obvious and common ways to muscle building is weight lifting. But there are other ways by which you can improve muscle building. They are running, swimming and even just brisk walking. Brisk walking actually means walking rapidly.

Another essential fact about muscle building is diet maintenance. If you are lean and wish to develop a better physique, you will definitely need to maintain a good diet. So, you will need to change your eating habits in order to maintain your newfound looks. Even lean people can gain a lot. Hence you should eat healthier diet, which will help you to improve your physical and mental health and allow you to have more strength and energy to do things.

Are you eating your prescribed six bodybuilding meals a day and not gaining muscle?

Have you been blowing your hard-earned cash on body building supplements with techie names like “Nitric-this” and “Cell-Max-that”, yet still fall short of getting the size gains you’re after?

You’re not alone. Thousands of muscle building enthusiasts are needlessly struggling – grunting and sweating for painfully little progress – and mislabeling themselves “hard-gainer”.

Building muscle, like accomplishing anything, requires some rational thinking and a well-executed strategy. It doesn’t just happen because you made it to the gym and finished your workout. It won’t occur simply because you’re using a product that was purportedly created by a “genius” wearing a lab coat. Successful natural muscle growth takes place as a result of adherence to laws of nature – just like success with any endeavor in life.

To back my point, let’s look at what many muscle building aficionados counter-productively do in gyms around the world. This is a simplistic example, but some variation of this scenario is the cause for much unneeded frustration for too many natural bodybuilders.

Let’s say Bill and Joe are training partners. They arrive at the gym to perform their much-anticipated biceps workout. Bill likes to start out with standing barbell curls and he’s glad he has Joe there to spot him. Bill just knows that if he can get Joe to assist him with the heavy sets, some “forced reps” will really get his arms growing. He’s decided to use the ever-popular ‘pyramid technique’ to work his way up to those heavy sets.

Bill ends up doing six sets. His sets are as follows: 50 pounds/8 reps, 55 pounds/8 reps, 60 pounds/6 reps, 70 pounds/6 reps, 55 pounds/7 reps, 50 pounds/6 reps.

Bill feels proud of himself. It was a grueling biceps workout. His first three sets were moderately challenging. However, the 70 pounds he piled on the bar for his fourth set of 6 reps represented a respectable stretch for him.

Although he didn’t ask for any help from Joe, he definitely had to dig deep within himself to find that extra pride-inducing push that allowed him to achieve the set of six reps. This fatigued his biceps enough to make the final three sets extremely challenging, even though they were performed with descending amounts of weight.

Five days later, Bill and Joe are back again for another biceps workout. Why? Because their schedule says it’s time to work those muscles again. Of course, muscles only grow from recovery between workouts – not directly from the tissue-ravaging training sessions themselves. But Bill and Joe have apparently worked out some kind of deal with their biceps in which the muscles have agreed to recover and grow in a four to five day span (sarcasm).

Bill wants to get bigger, so he’s decided to boost his heaviest set up to 75 pounds. He figures this will really “shock” his biceps into growth. His sets on this workout look like this: 50 pounds/8 reps, 55 pounds/8 reps, 65 pounds/6 reps, 75 pounds/6 reps, 55 pounds/6 reps, 50 pounds/5 reps.

Wow… Bill got a little assistance from Joe and managed to use five pounds more weight on his two heaviest sets. That extra intensity caused him to fall short a couple reps on his final, lighter sets. But that’s okay, right? Bill is increasing the poundage and getting stronger and bigger, isn’t he?

Hell no! ... Bill is deceiving himself. If you add up the total volume he moved in the approximate twenty minute time period during the first workout, it was 2,305 pounds. Five days later, he moved 2,260 pounds in the same time frame. His volume of lifted weight went down. Now he’s counting on moving forward after having possibly over-trained in this most recent workout. Yet he’s not even aware of what he’s doing.

Until Bill straightens this out, it won’t matter how many stomach-stretching meals he piles down. And all the nifty powdered supplements made by smart looking guys in cute little lab coats won’t help much either. He’ll just be peeing all that into the toilet and wasting time to boot.

That is, unless and until he gets his bodybuilding strategy on track. Nice, huh?

There was a time when many individuals knew the muscle building secrets but it has gotten lost with all these fancy gidgets and gadgets out on the market today that don't work. To burn fat and build muscle, use these little known secrets to accelerate your muscle gains immediately!

Body Weight Training Exercises

We have lost the ability to build muscle and burn fat using basic body weight training exercises. Most individuals who work out go right to heavy weights or cardio exercises without having the ability to do pushups, chin ups, or a squat to the floor. There is a place for external loading with heavy weights but not until the benchmarks of doing these basic exercises are mastered.

Muscle Building benchmarks for males: 1 set of 30-50 pushups, 1 set of 15-20 chin ups,1 set of 15-20 leg squats, 1 set of 15-20 pull ups.

Gain Muscle Mass benchmarks for females: 1 set of 20-30 pushups, 1 set of 5-10 chin ups, 1 set of 10-15 leg squats, 1 set of 4-6 pull ups.

This will be used as a standard and will ensure a proper foundation for muscular and general fitness which will allow each individual to gain muscle mass and burn fat more efficiently while weight training.

Weight Lifting Routines For Men And Women - 3 Week Modification

This is the main muscle building secret and it is very powerful to creating muscle mass. The technique is so easy that it will allow the body to avoid plateaus forever. Mistakes that many individuals make while building muscles is that they continually use the same muscle groups week after week. The secret is to change it up and let the muscles rest and rebuild. This approach is used by many of top trainers and this is how they get the movie stars in shape in no time.

Let's say you are building muscles for the chest, triceps and shoulders for the first three weeks on a Monday you will then switch to Friday for the next three weeks. This gives the body an opportunity to rest and refresh itself while muscles are ripped and it will prevent the muscles from plateauing. This strategy will be used for back, legs, abs and so on. In a couple of weeks the muscle mass and the muscle definition will be noticeable.

Eat To Burn Fat And To Gain Muscle Mass

Create an environment that will allow any individual to build muscle, burn fat and lose weight, the refrigerator and pantry need to be stocked with food. Remove all the crap foods and replace it with whole fresh foods, and always keep everything stocked.

Towards the end of a working life one has usually built up some assets, maybe even some money in the bank. Often wills have been written to make sure families are going to be taken care of when the time comes. We plan our financial future and even pay professionals so that it is done right.

But why is it that this future planning of our life and our finances does not include our health and wellness in any way? Even if retirement is still many years away we may ask ourselves what are we doing right now today to make sure we do have a future that eliminates as much risk of disease and disability as possible.

Most people just 'wing it' hoping that they will not get sick. They do not bother to exercise and eat 'whatever whenever' hoping that this will be enough to get them through. But that is taking a huge gamble as proper exercise and eating healthy are not 'optional extras' or 'luxury items' or something you do if you have nothing better to do.

The eight out of ten adults who do not bother to exercise maybe don't fully understand what happens to human body when it does not get enough muscle building and maintaining activity.

The muscular system is the body's engine and when muscles are allowed to become weak and flabby it drags the entire body into a downward health spiral. Muscle tissue is lost at the rate of one half pound per year and this rate double after age 50. This loss not only siphons strength it downgrades all of the body's systems and processes including the immune system. This leaves one vulnerable to the killer diseases that stalk us in our inactive and sedentary modern world.

Muscle tissue is just the beginning; not getting the proper activity the human body needs affects all of the major organs like the liver, brain and the heart and lung system which lose their ability to function efficiently. As the bones of the skeleton lose their strength they become brittle, the joints the separate the bones become stiff, painful and easily injured.

Important things like the quality of sleep is affected, mental and emotional health cannot operate at full strength as de-stressing mechanisms and 'feel good' chemicals are not being produced to calm and soothe the soul.

Those who do not exercise usually become overweight - even if it cannot be measured on the bathroom scales it can be deep inside the abdomen wrapped around major organs hindering their functioning. This is dangerous fat as it releases chemicals that increase the risk of heart disease, cancer and diabetes and many other conditions.

Really, health and wellness planning is equally as important as financial planning as without health everything else is rendered useless. When you do not feel well or are sick nothing else matters. So, take it upon yourself not be a victim of the deadly diseases that are epidemic all around us today. They can not only rob you of your health they can take your mind, suck away your life savings along with your dignity.

But the good news is you can protect yourself from 80 percent of these killers by taking the time to keep yourself strong and fit with a strength training program 2-3 times each week. Combined with a healthy eating plan and you being proactive you can be as sure as it gets that you will not have your future stolen from you.

There is many times throughout the day where I will just sit and read training articles and books. I will thumb through a few magazines or visit a few websites with my jaw to the floor. There are so many unrealistic training recommendations out there that it is no wonder why people are not growing. The worst part is when I go into the gym and actually see these people following this misguided advice.
Muscle Building Myth Advice 1 The Safety Of The Smith Machine
The most common piece of misguided training advice that I have ever seen is to use the smith machine because it is safer than barbells or dumbbells. The thought is that using the Smith machine will allow you to safely handle heavy weight since the machine is locked in on two columns. While this is good in theory, it does nothing at all to help save us. The advantages of a barbell or dumbbell is individual characteristics are taken into account.
Spend five minutes watching the Smith machine. You will see a five footwoman going to use it for squats then you will see a six foot two hundred pound guy go and use it to squat. This should clearly illustrate that the machine does not account for any differences. That is not safe!
Barbells and dumbbells account for individual muscle tightness factors as well. Someone who works at a computer all day has different muscular restrictions than a mechanic. Plus, it is also actually harder to lock the machine into place when you are training with a heavier load since you have to force your wrists into a awkward position. Just showing more benefits of dumbbells and barbells
Muscle Building Myth Advice 2- You must always stay with higher reps to build muscle
Yes, higher reps are better for building muscle since they cause more muscle tissue breakdown All things considered, you should train with higher reps. However there is a big backlash for anyone who advocates the need to go with lower reps. Lower reps do not cause as much damage as higher reps but they still have a place.
If you do not train to get stronger, you will not increase your muscle size. You must push yourself past your current limits. By pushing yourself, I amtalking about increasing your ability to handle greater training loads. This will then allow your higher rep work to cause more muscle damage and growth. Too many psuedo-trainers advocate going to failure as the only way to grow. They will point to years of professional bodybuilders having success with this type of training.
That is an awful argument for higher reps. Sure, higher reps will cause you to grow but there is a direct relationship to higher rep training and steroid usage. As drugs became more popular so did higher rep training. Higher rep training is just another tool in the toolbox.
Muscle Building Myth Advice 3 Never Train Your Core First
This is another piece of misguided training advice. Most people leave ab or core training to the end of the workout and think that they need to leave it there. The common thoughts are that you need to do bigger muscles first. That is false. What if your core is weak? What if you have low back pain which hurts you every time you squat?
What if your workouts are more productive if you activate your core before you train? There are specific circumstances that do require your core to be worked first. Provided that you do not do too much work then you will be fine. Look at people who struggle squatting. You will see that they end up bending in their upper body as they continue to go higher in reps. This is not going to happen if you do some core activation work first. Ensure stability then take it from there.
Muscle Building Myth Advice 4 Always Advocating High Intensity Training
No one ever looks at the drop off rate during muscle building programs. The mind is ready before the body is ready when most people go to train. If you want to get the most out of your training, you go into the gym with the intent to really have a good workout.
That, however, can be a problem. If we consistently go into the gym and train at a ten, like most people do, the chances of us having sustainable progress is not going to be as good as it is going to be. We need to train at lower intensities in terms of our mental capacity to allow ourselves to consistently go into the gym and hit it hard.
This is more important than you think. Do you ever feel like you fade as your training week goes on? This is due to continually training at high intensities. It is better to go at an eight for four to five days a week than a ten for two days.
